Equipment Sales Professional
Job Description
Koletzky Implement, a 3-generation family-owned and growing farm equipment dealership in Yankton, South Dakota specializing in New Holland, Kinze, Kubota, and other agricultural equipment is looking for an Equipment Sales Professional to join our team.
This equipment sales position will require the right candidate to communicate the value we bring to a customer as a family-owned & locally-operated business and ensure that those values are delivered and realized by our customers. This position requires the sales professional to develop trust and a partnership with our customer base through traditional standards. This includes being the primary resource for our customers regarding current and future technologies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Sell new and used equipment during on-farm calls, telephone calls, texts and other interactions.
- Master the product knowledge for the equipment you sell and the competition's equipment you sell against.
- Gain in depth knowledge and insight of assigned customers' initiatives, goals, and strategies through regular interaction with all levels within the customer's operation. This includes understanding the producer's goals, strategies and buying practices.
- Work collaboratively with assigned accounts to develop field or farm plans.
- Set and achieve sales, margin and other goals for each assigned accounts.
- Maintain account and sales call records.
- Communicate with Sales Manager daily on account progress, account service and potential issues or opportunities with assigned accounts.
- Provide customer service and act as one of the primary points of contact for customers including resolving customer issues and complaints.
- Develop work habits that create, build and support the go to market strategy within the organization.
- Understand and support marketing strategy and Koletzky Implement goals plus changes in these strategies and goals over time.
Job Requirements
- Have a passion for the farm equipment industry.
- Be self-motivated and career orientated and highly dependable.
- Previous Ag selling experience (internships or full time positions preferred) but we are willing to train the right person as needed.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to build successful relationships.
- Proficient with MS Office suite and company specific software. Ability to understand and utilize additional technological tools and resources.
- Recognition of sales growth opportunities and pursuing them.
- Knowledge of product margins and ability to maximize profitability for cooperative and producers.
- Ability to maintain current business and develop new business.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well within strict time frames, despite numerous interruptions.
- Strong analysis skills and ability to accurately calculate information.
- Ability to work without supervision and make appropriate decisions
- Work hours necessary to be successful and travel as needed.
Service Technician
Job Description
Koletzky Implement, a 3-generation family-owned and growing farm equipment dealership in Yankton, South Dakota specializing in New Holland, Kinze, Kubota, and other agricultural equipment is looking for a Service Technician to join our team.
Join a dealership that invests in your success. Our technicians work in a fully air-conditioned 120x200x24 shop, built to handle even the largest ag equipment with comfort and ease. We're equipped with overhead cranes, lifts, forklifts, and fully stocked service trucks to make your job efficient and safe. Koletzky Implement continually reinvests in tools, technology, and facility upgrades to support our growing team.
In addition to core service work, technicians have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as:
- Hay tools including large square balers, round balers, small square balers, and mower-conditioners
- Precision agriculture systems on New Holland, Kubota, and Kinze equipment such as Trimble receivers, Raven guidance, Ag Leader displays, New Holland automation and software, and electrical diagnostics
- Harvesting equipment including New Holland Combines
- Compact construction equipment including New Holland & Kubota skid steers and track loaders
Essential Functions
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed on all types of farm equipment.
- Perform any inspections as required. Repair, service or assemble any machines (new and used).
- Keep accurate, easy-to-read records of work performed.
- Maintain safe work habits.
- Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
- Suggest any additional repairs to the service manager and/or customer.
- Periodically review product bulletins.
- Help maintain cleanliness, neatness, and safety of building and lot.
- Stay current with technical changes, continue your education at factory service schools, etc.
- Supply your own hand tools in a neat and professional chest.
- Sell parts, labor, and whole goods service at all times.
- Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with every other Saturday half day.
- Must be able to read/follow written/oral instructions in English.
- Be able to handle inquires regarding equipment status for service customers.
- Works in coordination with Parts, Office, Sales and Management as needed.
- Be able to assist in Parts Department if necessary.
- Promote Koletzky Implement in a professional manner at all times.
Parts Specialist
Job Description
Koletzky Implement, a 3-generation family-owned and growing farm equipment dealership in Yankton, South Dakota specializing in New Holland, Kinze, Kubota, and other agricultural equipment, is looking for a Parts Specialist to join our team.
Essential Functions
- Assist customers in selecting the right parts for their needs—in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Provide friendly, professional service to ensure a positive customer experience and build long-term relationships.
- Accurately quote, order, and invoice parts using dealer systems.
- Maintain organized, well-stocked parts displays and inventory.
- Receive, check in, and shelve incoming parts shipments.
- Work closely with the Service Department to ensure technicians have timely access to the correct parts for repairs, maintenance, and equipment builds.
- Support the Sales Department by coordinating parts for new equipment setups, customer builds, and accessory installs.
- Prepare parts for customer pickup and technician use, including pulling, tagging, and staging.
- Help manage returns, warranty claims, and core part processes.
- Maintain clean and professional parts counters and displays.
- Assist with cycle counts and year-end inventory.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with every other Saturday half day.
